Graphic California Cultural Data Project

Getting Started with the
Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project.

Since the project began in 2004, over 1,250 arts and cultural organizations have submitted their data to the Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project (Pennsylvania CDP). This project is the most ambitious and comprehensive effort ever to gather and analyze information about the contributions of the cultural sector to Pennsylvania’s economy and quality of life.

If you are new to the Project or new to your organization, this important session will show you and your staff how to enter data into the PACDP and use its powerful features.

Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project

The Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project is a powerful, online management tool designed to strengthen arts and cultural organizations. This unique system allows users to track their own financial and programmatic performance over time and to benchmark themselves against comparable organizations in specific disciplines, geographic regions and budget sizes. Through the Pennsylvania CDP Help Desk, organizations have immediate access to free on-call technical assistance and a team of non-profit financial consultants. Pennsylvania CDP is available to large and small organizations, including those with 501(c)3 status, cultural programs within non-arts organizations, organizations using fiscal conduits, and even unincorporated collectives and festivals at no cost.

By participating in the Pennsylvania CDP, you will be part of a successful and growing project that will allow the arts community as a whole to better articulate and provide evidence for the sector's assets and needs, as well as its contributions to the state and the country.
